From Potomac News Online: Schools, county form budget committee
The Prince William Board of County Supervisors and the Prince William County School Board have agreed that they need to talk more.
In a joint meeting Wednesday, the members of the two boards decided to appoint two members from each board to form a subcommittee that would work toward solving upcoming budget problems.
Prince William School Board Chairman Lucy Beauchamp and Prince William Board of County Supervisors Chairman Corey Stewart, R-at large, said the decision was the most important thing that came out of the meeting where the members were briefed on tax rates, declining real estate markets and debt limits.

Write-in Challenges Jenkins
This story ran on the front page of The Potomac News today. It ’s a good piece and excellent timing for my campaign. John Jenkins denied knowing me to the reporter. On October 25th, we ran into each other at the Prince William County Board of Elections Office. There, in front of the office personnel and a reporter from El Comercio, Jenkins yelled at me for declaring my write-in candidacy against him. This is what I wrote on that day:
While at the PWC Board of Elections office, John Jenkins arrived and we had a brief conversation that began with warm hand shaking and introductions and ended with frigid temperatures and disagreement. As I announced my candidacy, he raised his voice. In his own words, “This is about the vote last week. I voted because I am against illegal immigration and you are for it,” he yelled. As I tried to respond, he tried to shut me up, but I wouldn’t. “Let’s be accurate, this is about the fact that you have put our economy in danger,” I replied. All of it was witnessed by a member of the press who was there with me as well as the rest of the board of elections staff.
Please keep supporting this collective effort.
