Weekend Campaign Activities

November 3, 2007

Putting up campaign signs

We had a really great day of campaigning today in Prince William County. We began at Borders where, while waiting for volunteers to arrive, I passed out flyers and talked to the camera crew from Univision. We then visited a soccer field where we talked to families. Later, we met Pedro Aviles, Rebecca Villalpando, John Chamberlain, and my two nieces, Tammy and Tely. My neighbors Tara and her small son Josh came over to my house to assemble signs with my brother. I was also visited by the Acebedo Family. They picked up materials for distribution, a sample ballot and the listing of streets in my district.

We canvassed my neighborhood. We spent the afternoon putting up signs. We stopped by a Latino restaurant, El Rinconcito, where we spoke with the patrons and the owner. It has been a wonderful day of work. Read the rest of this entry »
